Nice post, you've posed some of the questions that I've been asking myself. Ultimately I believe that these platforms will and are benefiting from the from the outflows in traditional fund managers and although the multiples are at uncomfortable levels PPS trades as an opportunity for inorganic growth for a competitor. I also agree about increasing competition and it's coming from all corners, even BT with the Panorama platform (which is pretty good) and the like, I guess what I'm saying is the space will become pretty crowded pretty quick. The high net worth/sophisticated investor client advantage that PPS enjoys at present well I think that's just fashion. In saying all that I bought more yesterday after saying I wouldn't increase until next quarterly, so what do I know? Best of luck out there to all.
