solar - a lesson from germany to australia

    watso was reading somewhere the other day - but all those solar panels in Germany only got a total of 10 hours of sunshine during the month of December  - and even if the sun was shining, the solar panels were probably covered with snow . ohh - and one thing for sure, is that battery back up would not have helped too much  - after all the battery needs to be recharged after a day or two (or three)

    and often times of extreme cold, there is also no wind - anyway, then it seems that Germany was sourcing power from all over the place, and from sources that the greenies hate - eg nuclear from france, coal from Poland
