Because during the day there's nobody home . At night there's cooking , tv computers , heating and cooling , lighting , hot water being used etc .
Yes , you can adjust your lifestyle somewhat but not completely . As to your comments about heating and cooling an 8 star house and holding it's temperature perfectly . Do you live in one ? Got family/visitors coming in going out leaving doors open ?
Clearly you don't have any figures to support your claims . I do . 6c/kwh for power I export during the day , 30 to 35 c/kwh at night .
Maybe I can work permanent nigtshift so that I can be home during the day to use my power ?
