The Albo $1B investment in solar power panel manufacturing is a piece of disgraceful propaganda to point the finger in the other direction. Chinese have been manufacturing panels since I can remember. We used to have BP solar and a couple of other manufacturers here over 20 years ago but the govmnt let them die with no support and the "Free market" adage. Chinese solar wafers have decreased in price 80% in 2 years, are we going to make our own wafers at 100 times the cost? No, we will import them and value add by soldering them together and putting a frame around it, then stamp it "made in Australia" with a reserve bank printed money sticker on the back. The Australian govmnt had there chance and blew it as usual. The only way they will be able to sell them will be with subsidies or a social credit score. This will just be another tax payer funded white elephant if it ever gets off the ground. Where should the finger be pointed? Digital ID, CBDCs and then control of the Australian population by the neo liberal elite with a social credit score. Welcome to Australia, an overseas owned mining pit.
