Yep unfortunately you’re right, people are happy to vote only for generally what’s in it for them rather than what makes a good society.
I guess as home ownership rates continue to drop then the renters will have more sway but even then they don’t really have the lobby groups the property industry etc have
We are heading back to the ways of old England where we had class societies unfortunately imo but not to the same extent
