Unlike routine pathology testing, Imaging is time a consuming one-on-one test service. Right now, groups like Sonic, etc are cashing in on need for COVID-19 testing, but even this revenue stream has a finite lifespan. On the very near horizon, there are many COVID-19 testing alternatives and treatments, including cheaper point-of care and self-tests. The real problem for pathology service providers is the absence of people from collection centres. While rent is still to be paid on these facilities, ROI is hit by reduced traffic. Hence, revised guidance for remainder of financial year.
