I do agree with you Timber that its laughable that all the values be it the reserves or size of a deal are stated in good ol' USD. The fact is, if they stated the numbers in Yuan or roubles no one would really understand the quantum. And there lies the challenge they are up against. Early days though & it probably took a while for people to understand the value of the USD when sterling & French francs were the reserve currencies of the world.
