@huaneng. I was under the impression IVZ had resolved the problems they experienced with wellbore stability by improving the mud chemistry and the mud rheology.so that it is compatible with the shales.

If a slotted liner were to be run, it would not be possible to test separate intervals over the LA and obtain several fluid samples from individual sand bodies. However, if the mud gas readings suggest a consistent wet gas composition in the LA below 3500m, then separate fluid samples would probably not be required.

Obviously, if the overpressure remains on the same trend, it will be less problematic than having a continuously increasing overpressure. The latter would mean TDing sooner, then they would need to decide whether to continue by drilling a smaller hole section and run an even smaller liner.
