    Intellectual property firm IPH Ltd, which is the holding company for law firm Spruson & Ferguson, will conduct a bookbuild on Oct 8 for its $165 million initial public offering, reporting by DataRoom has found.
    It is expected to lodge the offer prospectus with the regulator the following day.
    The 128-year-old law firm, which specialises in intellectual property services throughout Asia-Pacific, expects to list on the ASX in early November.
    The IPH share offer will constitute a 50 per cent stake in its business, which is being valued at $330 million. The offer mainly comprises of a selldown by existing partners, with a small component of fresh equity to raise capital for potential acquisitions.
    The IPH team is conducting pre-IPO roadshows this week that is taking them to Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand and Hong Kong.


    Spruson manages intellectual property rights across Asia Pacific for clients that include the likes of Boeing and Facebook. It currently operates with a team of over 300 people across offices at Sydney, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. It also launched its China office in Shanghai this year.
    The IPH offer is being managed by Morgans and Bell Potter Securities.
