This is very dramatic response. Would BHP update the market if their iron ore operations were operating below capacity for 1-2 days out of 30 in a month? No way.
management does not need to update us outside of quarterlies unless something was so critically wrong that it devalidates their guidance or previous forecasts.
I think you are all overthinking very short term market movements. Institutional investors do not care about single day production movements. They want management teams to consistently hit guidance and generate cash
