This virus has shown us just how reliant we are on China, we should now build our own steel mills etc,create industry again so that when China tighten the screws we wont just fall in a heap.
Is McGowan a forward thinking leader with balls & depth or just a vote seeker like the rest, we will soon find out

So many things working against WA building smelters and steel fabrication:

needs:

1) a workforce
2) fuel
3) minerals
4) coking coal (QLD)
5) transport
6) money
7) strong honest governance
8) domestic market
9) self belief
10) defence capability (ouch)
