For GWB to be put out in the next election,something would have to change in the way elections are held in the US.The candidate selection process is suspect on both sides of the Congress.As Henry Ford said,you can have any colour car as long as it is black.We have to beware that the US is not sliding down the path that USSR went,central control and little input from the population.The result was low productivity and a collapsing economy.If it is seen that a few at the top get more than their share and the political process prevents change then lookout.As the US wields so much power we are wasting our time bothering who is in power in Australia;does it matter if Johnny,Simon,Cyril or Dave is at the helm?Even participating through the UN looks a lost cause.I'm sure these type of thoughts are running through other political leaders.We will have to read George Orwells' 1984 again to get some clues.
