Except you didn't say 40 odd - You specifically said 42. Also if you hypothetically did use 'odd' you would be using the terminology wrong. It is a 'term' used to describe a value which is offset by 5% - A number which is remotely close. Not 40% off the mark. Could you imagine if society were as stupid as you are, and said 'we made a 40% odd profit this year' but in fact barely broke even? Or if an individual were selling a car for 20 odd thousand and were selling it for almost 30,000?
