Lol...I knew straight away who you were talking about just by reading the thread heading.
The great communicator more like the greatest con artist. He con his liberals MP's to vote for him cause he was a great communicator but turns out he is just a great dud.
Apparently there was a lot of phone calls made to judge the reaction of raising the GST and from those responses they know that they will lose an election on that policy alone.
No surprise they are dumping it like a hot potato.
