These are futures contracts. The letters represent the product (ie coal and type). The numbers are the month that the coal needs to be delivered (in theory, these contracts settle financially not physically).

These ARE NOT the actually price being paid for physical coal, just a reflection of it. You could pay a large subscription to see the physical contract market, or just get a guide of it from the futures prices on barchart etc. But the key thing to know is that coal traders and investment banks do pay the subscription and therefore will always know the price direction before you do.
