Sorry, but I don’t like your ‘What if’ suggestion. Companies which have been side-tracked into fanciful ideas for diversification have too often landed in the mud, wasting shareholder funds on fanciful or unrealistic proposals and losing their edge in their core business as well. WHC should leave the ‘green metal’ domain to others, in my view, and keep their focus on what they do extremely well — mining and selling high-quality coal. Their two new mines provide an excellent platform for diversification within the coal space.
