It's all ancient history now. The Monarchy or Britain for that matter means little to Oz now. I see it as a bit like the church, with the oldies clinging to it like a safety blanket. It's totally daft, as they have shown over and over that they only use us when it suits them. The colonial outpost is alive and well. The number of Aussie lives that have been lost for Englands causes has been abysmal. Yet when Kokoda and the Sth Pacific was being fought over they were nowhere to be seen. Using Oz as a testing ground for their nuclear programme was another disgrace, which left vast amounts of country still uninhabitable. Good ol' Charlie and wishing he was Camilla's tampon, my god what a wonderful king to look up to and cherish the Monarchy..
