No, not intimidated, but threatened. We never changed our lifestyle, but you were always on the alert. You never saw an unattended bag on a train, bus, street - if you did, you reported it. Cars parked suspiciously. A parcel you weren't expecting.
At Gatwick they cleared a whole area because of an unattended briefcase. After due, cautious inspection a PA went out asking Mr P. Brain to come and collect his briefcase from security ..... who calls their kid that!! Although I suppose it was warranted.
So no, I'm not going to change, I won't be intimidated, but I still feel threatened. We did, however, have whole Irish communities saying that the Troubles were nothing to do with them, it wasn't the Irish way and they condemned them outright. It was never right to kill anyone, especially in the name of God - all I'm saying is let's hear something similar from muslim leaders.
