A few people on this thread who have strayed from the OPs title message:
Pro Hamas supporters gate crashed a Christian Christmas carols by Candlelight organised to aid a specific charity ie Vision Australia [which assists blind children]
Condemnation should be universal from every decent Australian. It isn't really complex. It is a binary choice here to denounce these protesters without the usual "buts", "Ifs" and other qualifications.
Some choices in life are simple. Condemning these people unequivocally is one of them.
Police should have cracked down from the initial vile demonstration in front of the Opera House and banned all protests supporting a proscribed terrorist group. Those who argue "I am against Israel but aren't supporting Hamas" are kidding themselves, and distorting logic. There are only two combatants, Israel and a terror group. If you oppose the former, you either explicitly or impliedly support the latter.
