I was never convinced there would be an extension to the PSC based on current terms and so this deal looks like a neutral position reading edshanns post. In some ways given the capability of the management to deliver may be a better operational profile in the longer term as provides an extended time line to achieve against which is an issue they have always had.

I assume/wonder/most likely Lone Star where aware of this development before placing its offer.
