Hairyback, I'm unaware that Nikki Savva received anything but a lot of political heat as the consequence for publishing the findings of her investigative journalism about Tony Abbott's 'Road to Ruin'.
But I'm all ears if you can prove the allegation you made in that post!
As for Scott Morrison and that bus; IMO after surviving Abbott's attempt to push him under it, his decision to declare budget problems were only about $Spending and thereafter championing the public dialogue about making the GST even bigger may leave him with a lot of egg on his face.
But Turnbull's line that major decisions under his leadership will be the result of Cabinet deliberations instead of Captain's Picks suggests that Morrison will survive much less damaged than Joe Hockey did after Abbott chucked him in front of the 2014 Pig Iron Budget freight train.
