Anyway, what is important is this year and I think we have to use our combined resources a bit better. I check the URA (ETF) market in the US every day and at the moment it is trying to catch its breath after falling out of bed last week. For the life of me, I cannot remember what it was that gave them all in the uranium market such a fright to cause that fall.

I also got worried when I saw how all the funds are placed in commodity futures as compared to the beginning of last year (my notes this morning). That makes me think I should be looking for something other than miners but I will keep an open mind for now.

my sentiments exactly for general miners at least for the first 6mths of this year. the tickers i posted above are biased 7 to 4 non miners with the miners in that list being about as speccy as you could get with maybe mlm being an exception as more advanced/ derisked.

i think gold miners could offer a bounce trade in q1 before fade to mid year and then look for a potential LT pivotal area in mid year that will confirm whether they continue their trends higher or break to a longer term down trend.

these are just reitterating thoughts as posted last year.
