But seriously, your post inches me forward and i'll double-down ....
Again, your mention of the single new (to me) term 'Cavatak' opens up another aspect of the IMU story. A quick Google and it seems that Merck got close but no cigar around 2022 by seeking a more 'targetted' virus and when the results of that investment disappointed, they dumped the whole approach. Right?
It seems to me that IMU/Fong's counter-intuitive (to me) approach to the same problem was not to sharpen the pin ... but rather to enlarge the target so that any old pin could not fail to miss.Right?
Finally, far from any thoughts of 'panic', i'm totally relaxed about the future of IMU, lucky to be here and looking forward to the many 'explainers' that clever media artists will come up with (a la the spiky Covid ball imagery) to communicate to the masses how CF33 works.
I hope some smart media artist is looking over Dr Fong's shoulder as we speak!
