Anna Bligh ( ex Qld premier ) said she knew her party was going to lose government however she was standing for her electorate and would represent them for the next term if elected. That term was pretty short - 4 weeks? Apparently by resigning her taxpayer funded super meant she got much more than if she retired as a backbencher. Seriously more - Why do I have the feeling the chook just wanted to make sure of her overgenerous payday. Who knows with her popularity sinking she may have even lost her safe seat.
