So you see the meaning of, Matthew 24:36 is not so clear after all. Jesus said His knowledge was from God, so it is not a contradiction. The knowledge resided with God but that knowledge was accessible to Jesus otherwise we have a massive lie written into the Scripture. The, nobody knows refers to those who were not receptive to God because they could know only via God's knowledge, not their own. Only through God can we know the time and the date.
So the point of, Matthew 24:36 was to show that nobody knew the day, the hour, but through God and those prescribing dates by trying to extract a date by their own calculations could not do so.
The date is knowable through God.
