Giobria Thanks for your efforts here. Basically it appears that other than Tesla the American OEM's have their head in the sand. I have followed Sandy Munro on youtube over the years and he has grave concerns for the future of the American car industry.
As a young fella we used to talk about "Jap Crap". No more these days.
Sandy (who had advised some Chinese manufacturers) pointed out a few years ago that the Chinese are on top of the quality game. With that in mind I purchased a GWM ute 3 years ago. Fraction of the price of an equivalent Ranger with more Gizzmo's to boot. 3 years on 46K clicks down the track and I'm very pleased with my choice. Really pushed the limits with it off road and its handled it really well.
What the above tells me is that looking forwards the Chinese numbers are far more relevant to us than American numbers which are locked into big oil.
