    You say the ABC has a captive audience in the bush

    Maybe it did 20 years ago. But not any more. Commercial radio stations and the internet and satellite TV have seen to that.
    My impression is that the ABC is way behind in the country now. And rapidly falling.

    The idea that the 'bush' is somehow left behind in terms of communications, - is a furphy. I live in the bush, which some might call the outback. I have an excellent internet and landline service by NBN wireless, reliable, fast and cheap. Others have satellite. Mobile service is excellent and cheap.

    Once again the city press gives city dwellers an impression that is rubbish. They really should try to keep up.
