Gold is a store of wealth to maintain ones equity over time. Currently it is being countered from a paper rise by the printing of paper, no more and no less.
You should perhaps go back to kindergarten and learn it over. Have read Von Misers two great works on economics and money. A very sound place for those wanting a good grip on understanding real value.
