First the concept of 'free will' needs to be clearly defined and established before it can be said to be 'taken away' - good luck with that, that debate has been going for centuries. Libertarian free will being absurd and Compatibalism a failure, all that is left is the conscious experience of agency....and neuroscience is showing that information processing, which determines the decision and the action taken is unconscious from input via the senses, processing, etc, until upon readiness potential conscious thoughts and feeling form.
