Yes, we need to then examine what information is false, and what is true.

It is well documented, and please look into this yourself, that Islam, although in pretense, is religion, ultimately, it's goal is to establish Sharia law. Sharia law, dictates, by the writings in the Quran clearly, and easily available for any person to look at, demands violence to those that oppose this law. That includes adultery, blasphemy, homosexuality, and apostasy - so any person that falls into one of these categories, is permitted by the writings in the Quran, to have violence enacted upon them. This broad interpretation, allows for huge discrepancies with western democratic principles. And we haven't even touched on the rights of a man, to beat his wife, or take multiple wives etc etc.

I welcome a thoughtful, and clear debate on why some feel that until these ideologies are able to be discussed without one side getting all defensive, claiming its racist or bigoted to raise concerns that a lot of people, feel Islam can't co-exist within a western democratic model of governance. Lets have this discussed, by our leaders, by our media, and between anyone that wants to take the time to sit down, and logically, and rationally discuss them.
