They were driven off their land, denied the ability to hunt and forage but allowed to work for low quality food and maybe some tobacco. Don't bring up the---- we also had it hard BS --- as there was an unwritten policy of genocide to exterminate or breed out all Aboriginals. That didn't happen to your ancestors. Your situation may have been harsh, but even the hard Romans didn't have such barbaric policies. And until 1967 the Aboriginals weren't classed as humans--they were part of the fauna of the country--denied hospital care and the aged denied pensions.

RC Dont worry about 1967. Their women are not classed by them as humans in 2019 as the abuse rape and murder goes on at a rate not seen in any other place on earth. This is 2019 not some 200 y/old stuff from history. THIS IS GOING ON NOW. Ask Marcia Langton.
