    For a Far QLD Northerner that knows nothing of the problems you have discussed.

    This bit got my attention,

    Indeed lapdog, it would be a real problem for access if a disaster happened. It would be horrific if a large fire was to happened.

    I find dual carriages above ground have no room for emergency vehicles because of concrete botanical Garden type Islands everywhere.

    Our fore Fathers built huge wide roads for the future, when there was little traffic.

    Our new drongos engineers, clutter those wide roads with concrete Tank traps calling them traffic calming devices, when traffic volume has escalated dramatically with no signs of slowing down..

    T/U lapdog for a "high" content post that you obviously put some thought into.
