More JW false teaching from Mr Gordon!
"...... For the rest of mankind there is the prospect of endless life here on earth.(Psalm 37:29) The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it." Again selective teaching when in Peters epistle he says "
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. 11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
As for your quote out of Psalms it is obviously referring to what Isiah mentioned in Chapter 65:17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind."
I will also add before you reply with the standard JW response to 2 Peter 3:10 that the word there for "earth" is the "world" meaning the inhabitants. Sorry sweetheart but the Greek doesn't lie......the Greek word there is "gae" which means hills and trees and seas whereas the word you need to prove your doctrine would have to be "kosmos"......the adornment or "people or cultures" or "evil" as it is used consistently throughout the NT.......... No but it is the universe that will be destroyed on that day but your'e welcome to argue the point with Him when He comes to do it. Good luck with that one!
