I think a strong argument can be made in regards to religions role in the development of a lot of Western morals which have helped create the brilliant man-made societies we have today, but I do not think it is what will continue to propel us in the future.
Jung wouldn't agree with the bit in bold
Jung said religiosity is fundamental to all humans and it will continue to propel us into the future
That is because the psyche is what allows us to experience the world
Science will help understand this process, but Jung studied the psyche in a scientific manner and concluded --the psyche is real!
Maybe the poster was thinking along the lines of many who assume religion is about an anthropomorphic God
Not so ----Jung would say!
