I’m not so sure about the US dollar remaining supreme for ever if I recall the last time the Chinese played the USA on the Korean field they got pushed back over the 38 line pretty quickly. I’m sure that when the Poms ruled the World they also thought they and their Pound Sterling would remain omnipotent for ever and day. History as the say is just one thing after another, even Greece had it’s time in the sunlight!

Pleased to hear you are enjoying your time in retirement baiting Gold enthusiasts. Why not dispel the rumours that you are so tight you squeak when you walk and splash out on one of these for the wife.

It may not be 30% of annual Gold production just yet; however, at least it’s a start.

I also notice that Golds poor relative Silver is seeing increasing industrial use:

I’m in the UK at present Munich next week and notice that the shonky banks here are still at it:

Barclays is setting aside millions of pounds for potential future fines for wrong doing. What kind of message are they sending here; to me it clearly indicates premeditated crime! Write the fine into the value of the crime and make even more profit to pay executive bonus payments.

o Additional £750million set aside for forex investigations
o Another £200m set a aside for PPI mis-selling
