i tend to agree avgjoe - when the commodity is range bound you want first mover to get any breeze from the spot moves
get a breakout though - and lagards pay off.
re slr - AISC costs of around $1400AUD. Bit above the 1250 industry avg i agree.
USed to be much higher before they closed Mt Monger - and imagine a lot of less active researchers still think thats the case.
to put it in perspective - SBM runs at about $1550AUD AISC last time i checked. an absolute basket case thats been bleeding money for nearly 2 years
but its got a higher market cap than both SLR and TRY of $107M - go figure.
can only assume that 10c to 20c move by SBM a while ago weas due to friendly broker/corporate advisers
first sign of a gold upside breakout SBM will be raising money i guarantee
