Yes but looking at the USD across the board, it has demolished all the other currencies, even if you take away EUR. The underlying factor is what I'm trying to get that, people channeling their money into somewhere 'safe' which seems like it is in the US 'superficially', every news anchor screaming US.. US.. US... But when people read between the lines, eg. GDP figures that came this morning, 2.6%, people start realising that 2-3% of GDP was actually printed to give that 5% figure in Q3, only 2% organic. Hence, not as 'safe' as people once thought.. and relating it back to the topic, gold will rise because of the intrinsic value that it holds.
As the world deflates, gold will emerge the ultimate victor.
