I wonder whether we even understand the question: what is the meaning or purpose of life?
I wonder what really drives the question in the first place. Is it genuine curiosity? Does it stem from a deep seated insecurity that is the result of a sense of vulnerability? Do we need a meaning or purpose to function as human beings? Can we rely on an external source to provide meaning or purpose or do we have to create it ourselves - with the best that we can hope for is help from our friends?
