Because that's what happens when a person (who happens to be Muslim) commits a crime. All the other Muslims have to explain, condemn, etc...
Just to be clear, for the 7000th time lol, I don't support, sympathise with, agree with, apologise for or care for any violence or criminality.
You do the crime, you do the time. Terrorism, rape, theft, drug dealing... all the same sh*t.
I am not the one maintaining any evil is lesser than another... it is the ignorant people who maintain that Muslim evil is worse than all other evils that irks me. Because it is not true.
