hc is great for delaying doing work outside.
its not $1b pa for 35 years its $1b pa inflation linked for 35 years ie thats y the total cost varies between leaked nbn costings ie totals vary between $60b and $90b ie in the last year of nbn agreement one forecast was the lease figure could b $3b pa .It all depends on inflation,lol what happens if all the global debt/qe does create hyper inflation,tls could end up owning australia not just the nbn.
lol and the govt has an option to extend lease by 10 years.
imo there is only one solution for the govt to fix the nbn mess,and thats for probably a combination of govt and australian super funds to buy out telstra ie $20b approx as infrastructure valued as per rental agreement with superfunds receiving rental income for their share ,but with obvious clauses built into agreement to protect telstra from network being acquired in the future which could put tls at a disadvantage.imo
As posted only a government in this case labor would sign a 35 year technology lease inflation linked.

plse just the thought of tls buying back the nbn with the accc regulation/govt etc etc etc no thks.
