The cash splash being undertaken by the government here is totally disgusting.

Billions to companies and billions more to people.

People complaining that because their partner makes more than A$48,000 a year that they lose access to the cash spash.

Has anyone here even been unemployed because they lost their job before? Guess what happens when your partner makes a decent wage or you have lots of cash in the bank?

That's right: you don't get the dole or you are forced to spend your cash, reduce your assets, and wait until you do qualify.

Under the current plan you can have thousands in the bank, your partner can have a decent income (overA$48,000) and the government will splash cash to you so that you can maintain your lifestyle including your fancy cars, your private schools, and decent meals.

And what about those on the Age Pension?

Yeah, they get a one-off $750 grant - a little more than a week's extra cash splash to those going on the dole.

And what about those people on the Age Pension with other income?

Well, if you make any extra income over the fornight limit you see your Age Pension REDUCED by at least 25 cents for every dollar extra you make.

So, for example, if you are lucky enough to get an overseas pension and now that the Australian dollar is falling, your overseas pension in Australian dollars goes up. But don't worry, the Australian government is right there to make sure that they get their 25% of the increase from each of you.

Yep, total income of less than A$40,000 and the government steps in to make sure that they get their cut............................
