parents because they want their little darlings to go to uni get a degree and find a high paying job. arts degrees dont cut it and very few kids want to go to uni and do the hard sciences
education system because it is no longer teaching children arts and crafts in schools - when i did metalwork in school i made a hunting knife with a bone handle. lets see the wokesters do this
the govt because they were pushing for kids to stay in school and then head off to uni. little foregetting that the build those unis and schools one needs tradesmen.
ill add the unions to the mix because they insisted on higher pays for 1st and 2nd year apperntices which made it uneconomic to employ kids who may have wanted to get a trade.
if a kid wants to leave school at 15 fine let him. but put him in an apprenticeship. a real one not some mickey mouse scheme
