I'm sure our many friends on the far left and the Trump right will approve the US president acting like a sycophantic toadie to Putin. I found it nauseating.
So Putin's guy did a great job on this latest tour. Undermined Germany's leadership, undermined the UK's leadership, caused friction in NATO, intimated Europe was a foe, worked against Western interests in general, blamed the US for Russian/US tension and backed the Russian president as a more credible source of information than his own intelligence services.
Even House Republicans are revolted by Trump's behaviour. Ryan, McConnell and Gowdy have all disavowed this press conference. I hope the US sewage system can cope with all the people who just raced to the loo to throw up.
