The problem is - when it comes to lefties anything they do justifies the means. So trashing Trump and the US is worth it, no matter what else happens as collateral. Making relations with Russia even worse than they are now is worth it if it makes life harder for Trump. Letting in millions of welfare dependent immigrants is fine if it overloads the welfare system. Supporting the #blackbedwetter activists is fine if it causes a riot, even if they don't know what they're rioting for other than to steal stuff and trash the place.
Thing is Trump will be able to rapidly repair relations with Russia just by being pragmatic instead of hysterical like Obama.
If Hillary had won we'd be well on the way to a nuclear war by now. As it is Trump will be able to work with Putin, simply because Trump isn't receiving millions from Saudi Arabia to trash relations with Russia - all over who supplies gas to Europe.
