What a bunch of pandering hypocrites are the NFL. They side with the players and their "first amendment" but why wasn't the first amendment afforded to players when -
• players were fined for wanting to commemorate 9/11 victims
• players were fined consistently over the past years for "personal expression" like celebrating after a touch down
• players were fined for honouring the cops who were slained in Dallas by putting something on their helmet.
• a player was fined for wearing purple cleats to protest domestic violence.
So all of a sudden the NFL (employer) who has had form in fining /banning personal expression or forms of commemoration are all about the first amendment when it comes to the national anthem.
This is pure pandering by the NFL and their hypocrisy will be exposed.
Trump is on a winner with this. He has given the police and those who have fallen over what was a blatant lie perpetuated by Obama, CNN and BLM. Cops are being killed for no reason other than the lie that is "hands up don't shoot". Kaepernik perpetuated the lie with his protest and Trump is now bringing it to s head with his comments. The NFL has been exposed for its weakness over the years and they will lose on this front.
The more they kneel, the more of a groundswell of support Trump will get on the issue . When your hero of the moment, Colin Kapernick is so dumb as to wear a shirt supporting Castro to a media conference about Black oppression, then it's not hard to think of your protest based on a lie as a joke.
