The way Trump has handled it will cripple the US, he got rid of the pandemic team at the CDC to cut costs and his denial of the seriousness has really hampered their response. The testing program has been handled by Pence's coronavirus response team which has deliberately reduced the number of tests for weeks now because Trump doesn't want the numbers to look bad. Sadly it doesn't matter what the official numbers are, reality doesn't care and is going to kill millions of Americans in the next few months. Their outbreak is out of control, just think of the number of high profile people who have come down with Covid-19, it's crazy. Well guess what, if you're rich and 'important' in the US you can get tested unlike Joe Public who won't so doesn't appear in the numbers. Trump would have been just an amusing historical figure if he didn't have to deal with something this serious, history won't be kind to him.
