Benbradley, both Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull relate well to mainstream Australians as reflected in opinion polls. They move freely amongst the people and never separated themselves from us via shock jocks, razor wire and armour-plated BMWs.
In stark contrast, Tony Abbott never enjoyed the confidence of the people. As of his rotten 2014 Budget he even betrayed the trust they had placed in him and burnt up his limited political capital as he fled overseas to leave hapless Hockey to cop the flack.
Small wonder then that Abbott's de-frocking came as overwhelming RELIEF and that Turnbull has turned 'HMAS Team Australia' away from Abbott Iceberg.
