PRIME Minister Malcolm Turnbull has said he and his wife Lucy like to “Netflix and chill”.
The 62-year-old made the statement during an interview this morning with Brisbane radio hosts Bianca, Terry & Bob from 97.3FM.
During a quick-fire question round, Bianca asked: “Do you ever Netflix and chill with Lucy?”
The presenters could be heard muffling their giggles as Mr Turnbull replied enthusiastically: “Yes, yes we do”.
“Netflix and chill” is generally used as a euphemism for having sex, and refers to someone asking if their partner wants to ‘Netflix and chill’ as an invitation for having sex.
The millennial term often suggests a casual relationship and is a popular question on the dating app Tinder.
It is not known whether Mr Turnbull was aware of the sexual connotation when he answered the question, but went on to tell Bianca he and Lucy had watched political drama House of Cards (presumably before “chilling”).
Mr Turnbull is in Queensland for the rest of the week to spruik the Federal Budget, and will be heading to Rockhampton and Emerald tomorrow.
