I think the bottom line is that there aren't enough jobs available for all the young people.
The capable ones and those whose parents have contacts can get work but some others can't due to "lack of experience".
Catch 22, can't get experience because they can't get a job.

I have been involved with the GA in the Yarra. Valley and what you describe could not be further from the truth.
