And they used every slogan possible to reinforce their message over and over in order to get into government.
Now, it seems, we can throw around money on tax cuts like it is confetti.
Well, they stand condemned.
Now we know it was all nothing more than a series of empty slogans that you could walk back from whenever you felt like it. It achieved its primary goal of getting them into government by demonising others.
Conservative pollies like Abbott, who just rely on the cleverness of the message assume we are all stupid.
When will the penny drop that such tricky politics eventually gets found out?
